I have a rough time wearing super girly, soft pieces because it clashes with my (pretty much imagined) tough & badass side. So, when I wear a very feminine piece, I have to toughen it up. Chunky black platforms and a destroyed band tee are the perfect way to add some edge to a girly pleated skirt. I wore the skirt with a different top to work, so just throwing on a different tee after work makes it easy to transition from the more conservative 9-6 look to an edgy after hours look. Rock on.
