Harnesses and BDSM inspired fashion have been huge in the last year, and these trends are continuing into the summer. Perhaps we have 50 Shades of Grey (love it or hate it) to thank for making these trends wearable and more mainstream. It's pretty interesting (to me at least, because I'm a fashion nerd) how pop culture affects fashion. Culture mirrors fashion, and vice versa. With the rise of talk of BDSM and so on, the fashion world has been able to embrace inspired trends. Harnesses once solely for the bedroom are now fair game for the streets. Metal pieces and shorts like these definitely wouldn't be acceptable to wear in public a couple years ago. I promise, when you're walking around in shorts like these (mine are from Style Moi) and a great pair of heels, there's no way that you won't feel like the baddest chick on this side of the Atlantic Ocean.
